Medical School established a long-term exchange program with Leader in Uganda

In June 2009, three students from the Global Health Initiative (GHI) at the University of British Columbia (Canada) traveled to Uganda to meet with Sawa Leader Robert. Their goal was to explore his innovative model to establish an integrated rural health project with minimal resources.

The Director, Videsh Kapoor, of the GHI has developed an official long-term exchange project with Robert. Groups of students will be visiting Robert every summer for mutual learning on best practices and assist Robert with specific projects.
