Canadian Business students visit Sawa Leader in Kenyan slums

Sawa World introduced Kenyan Leader, Getrude Anyango to a program of the Sauder School of Business, at the University of British Columbia. The program, Social Entrepreneurship 101 Africa, helps Kenyan youth develop small businesses.

The Director of the Program, Nancy Langton, and ten students visited Getrude in August 2009. Getrude provided them with a tour through the Kibera slums and showed them how she successfully set up vocational training and small businesses for hundreds of unemployed youth. Getrude was also invited to be a guest speaker at one the SE 101 workshops.
