Two Ashoka Fellows partner to lift millions out of extreme poverty

The first elected Ashoka Fellow in East Africa, Mwalimu Musheshe is the founder of the African Rural University in Kibaale District, a remote area of Western Uganda. Last week, Mwalimu and Daphne, the founder of Sawa World and also an Ashoka Fellow, and their teams officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a long term partnership. The two aim to blend their unique models to lift millions of people out of extreme poverty with local solutions. The program will be officially launched in September.
