Training more youth

Training more youth

Sawa World has six new people aiming to become Sawa Youth Reporters. They just completed a six-day training course which covered a wide range of topics including Sawa World’s approach and camera basics. It was a hands-on course that gave students practical training. Students found and documented two potential Sawa Sparks: one who sells mushroom products , one who makes candles.

With more trained Sawa Youth Reporters, Sawa World can document and share more practical ways people are reducing extreme poverty.

Among the six new reporters, were two students from African Rural University. They will help lead the program in Western Uganda.

Course participants paid 150,000 Ugandan Shillings (about $60). The small profit from this course will go straight back to supporting Sawa World’s field programs. But we need some help to keep this important training program growing and affordable. Please donate today; it's quick, easy and secure: http://www.sawaworld.org/support-sawa-world.
