Honoured Guests Experience a Memorable Sawa Day

If you’re wondering what a day with Sawa World’s team Uganda in Kampala is like, shadow our advisor Charles Holmes and his daughter on their recent visit to our new Solution Centre.  They danced in the street with former street kids turned business owners and sat down to hear their stories. They made sugar cane juice with Spark Bosco, and Spark Rehema taught the excited visitors how to fashion vibrantly colourful paper earrings.  Staff then gave them a grand tour of Sawa World’s new home, which will soon include all new training rooms, a youth hub, a media library and a demonstration farm.

Charles Holmes is an esteemed facilitator, collaborator, and educator, who has helped Sawa World connect with international funders and global world leaders.  For all that this true social alchemist has done to help Sawa World effect global change, we were thrilled to give something back to him in dance, community and love.  It was an honour to show him a sampling of the fruits of our labour and the great things that lie ahead.
